I had been observing the camera work of a friend, Robert Pacelli, who was playing with a "colorizer", using video feedback to capture a wide range of feelings and states of consciousness through imagery. I was fascinated, watching the many permutations of continually changing patterns. One day it occurred to me to use those special effects to tell a story about personal transformation, using video feedback to illustrate energetic movement within an individual's psyche. Video artists who discovered this film on the internet have been able to build new creations in which CELEBRATION acts as the "mother", giving birth to these filmic children created by others!
